About the event

BACK ROOM 20 24 is a work that I created during my MFA at NCAD and presented as my final show. Over the last year, with the support of an Arts Council of Ireland Agility Award and Artlinks Bursary, I have been able to expand and develop this work with new elements.

I am pleased to invite you for the official launch of BACK ROOM 20 26 in KIlkenny at this address R95Y672 on the 28th March 4 - 6 pm. The show will be launched by Dr Tom O'Dea lecturer at NCAD Sculpture and Expanded Practice Dept who was my tutor during that time. I really want to thank professor O'Dea for his support during and after the College period.

The show will be curated by Mary Doyle Burke through An Chéad Tine Art Organisation. I take this occasion to thank Mary for her continuous support and An Chèad Tine for providing this alternative exhibition space for my project.

This exhibition will run from the 29th March to the 19th April and will open daily, 11 am - 6 pm.

A little intro to my work: "The focus of my work is questioning, nature and its meanings. Human relationship with the natural environment evolves continuously over time. The categorisation of living elements created a rift in this relationship. This led to secret areas to fabricate products, away from the public eye. The idea of secrecy adopted by capitalist power which is built on supremacy, leads my work to explore and engage with thematics, such as control, domination, and mass production."
